She ordered these especially for kayaking where the top of her legs sometimes get too much sun, so the UV protection was important. I got these pants to wear as everyday pants, not for swimming. They fit great and are pretty comfortable. The waist is a little higher than I thought it would be but not anything that makes me not want to wear them.
I've recently lost a lot of weight, which means swimsuits fit better, but I haven't toned as well as I should in some areas, so my inner thighs especially are showing it. To keep from feeling so self conscious, I ordered these for summer festivities and they're going to work perfectly for my needs. They fit just right and now I won't be concerned about saggy skin.
I am 5'9" and weigh about 157. I bought the large and it fits ok but it is super high wasted and for my height, the length is a little shorter than expected. They are not super comfortable but I guess they will be ok for working in the yard. The good thing about them is that the fabric is quick dry.
